SCANNING PHOTOS

Quality scanning is a very important first step in any photo restoration or enhancement. Scan photos in color and save them as high quality JPEG or TIFF and send them by email to contact@serendipityphotostudios.com.

* If you're scanning a photo that you do not need to enlarge, then scan it at least at 300 dpi.

* If you are going to have the photo enlarged after restoration, then scan at 600 dpi or higher.

* Do not have any adjustments made.

* Save as a TIFF file rather than a JPEG, if you can. If you have to save as a JPEG, make sure it is saved and emailed at the highest quality level. Files cannot exceed 25MB each.

Photo restoration fees are based on the number of hours required to complete the work. My price quotes represent an estimate of the amount of work involved to obtain the best possible results.

Level 2
€29.99 Covering moderate scratches and tears, creases, missing corners, marks and stains (except on faces, hands or other complex areas), improving contrast.

Level 3
€39.99 Repair of complex areas such as faces and hands, removal of subjects, replacement backgrounds, repair of extensive damage, improving contrast.
